Executive Committee

INDEAL Cares is governed by a Board of Directors who are dedicated to our mission: to support healthy workplace communities in North America and in under-served communities globally - forward.  

 

The Board performs its duties through an Executive Committee consisting of ten members who are responsible for overseeing the long-term strategy, as well as ongoing operations.

Dave is an experienced senior executive and visionary with 30+ years of experience, with the majority of those years being in the commercial interiors industry.

Dave grew up and resides in the Toronto (Canada) area and is a graduate from the University of Waterloo with a degree in Economics. Dave has a passion for continuous improvement of the commercial furniture industry, and travels across North America to ensure he is well versed on trends and industry needs.  Dave founded INDEAL Cares because he is committed to giving back and making the world a better place.

MARK RHOADES

President, Contract Furniture – Fellowes Brands

Mark is a seasoned leader with over 30 years of experience, primarily focused on the Commercial Furnishing and Consumer Goods Industries.  Mark’s past positions include President of Contract Furniture Fellowes Brands, President of ESI, CEO at Highmark, President of Fluidmaster and President at SitOnIt.

 

Mark is a partner in CFS Group Consulting and serves on various boards throughout the country.  Mark was raised in St.Louis, and has a degree in Marketing from the University of Missouri. Mark’s business interests include turnarounds, rapid growth companies and Mergers & Acquisitions work.    

Mark joined INDEAL Cares because he believes to whom much is given, much is expected.

MARILYN MCSWEENEY

President & CEO The

Marilyn has more than two decades of successful experience in providing top talent in the interior furnishings industry. Marilyn, and the team at The McSweeney Group, have an extensive understanding of what is needed for employers and employees to achieve the mutual fit necessary for long term success. 
  

Prior to working as an executive recruiter and career coach, Marilyn was a Sales Leader, Senior Sales Representative and Designer in the high-end contract furnishings industry.

She is highly passionate with her involvement in giving back and is involved in leadership positions in local and international service organizations.

Strategic Advisor,

Stefanie is a dynamic leader, collaborator, fundraiser and coach with 20+ years of experience working in a variety of not-for-profit and charitable organizations.  She has worked in a variety of settings and for causes in healthcare, education, international development and financial services.

Stefanie is passionate about the mission of INDEAL Cares’ - to transform the health and well-being of individuals through a commitment to workplace wellness and holistic health, and she provides leadership coaching and consulting to support employee wellness programming, growth and development opportunities within the commercial interiors industry.

CASEY JOURNIGAN

President and Co-owner,

Casey has been an advocate of worthy causes for over three decades, serving on a number of boards including Orangewood Children’s Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to eliminating child abuse and neglect in Orange County. 

  

Casey began his career in the contract furniture industry soon after graduation, joining his father as an independent manufacturer’s representative. Five years later, they purchased a small manufacturing company which was renamed Arcadia after the city in which he grew up. Now, with over 350 employees, Acardia strives to be an actively engaged member and works to support causes for the greater good.

MICHELLE WARREN

Consulting Group

Michelle Warren is President of Catalyst Consulting Group, a firm specializing in providing strategic solutions to the commercial furniture and office products industry to enhance their sales and positioning within their industry and distribution. 

​Michelle has been in the commercial furniture industry for over 25 years with experience on the dealer and manufacturer side of the industry. She has experience at the EVP, VP and National Sales Manager level for large and small manufacturers in addition to in depth understanding and experience in creating programs to target and selling to the Federal Government, State Government, and Higher Education through Cooperative Purchasing.

RICH VAUGHAN

Founder, Vaughan Law Group

Richard D. Vaughn has over 30 years of experience working exclusively within the contract office furniture industry. Throughout his career, Rich has honed his business and legal skills by effectively solving complex business and legal issues specifically at the dealership level with dealer principals. Rich has focused his expertise on advising dealer principals on exit strategy and transfer of business ownership, combined with specification-focused recommendations.  

  

Rich’s philosophy is that achieving a successful outcome for each client – the dealer owner – starts with having a thorough understanding of the principal’s business and their human concerns.

KEVIN BUDELMANN

President,
Peopledesign

Kevin Budelmann is interested in strategic design for business, education, healthcare, and society.  

Kevin is president and co-founder of Peopledesign, a strategy and 
human-centered design firm based in Michigan. Besides serving as an advisor to clients, Kevin is an adjunct professor at Northwestern University and is the former global president of IxDA, the Interaction Design Association.  

He holds degrees from Carnegie Mellon University and the IIT Institute of Design. Kevin's book, "Brand Identity Essentials," is available in six languages and a second edition.
