Executive Committee

INDEAL Cares is governed by a Board of Directors who are dedicated to our mission: to support healthy workplace communities in North America and in under-served communities globally - forward.  

 

The Board performs its duties through an Executive Committee consisting of eleven members who are responsible for overseeing the long-term strategy, as well as ongoing operations.

STEFANIE INCE

Executive Director, INDEAL Cares

Stefanie is a dynamic leader, collaborator, and fundraiser with close to 20 years of experience working in a variety of not-for-profit and charitable organizations.

 

She has worked in a variety of settings and for causes in healthcare, education, international development and financial services for organizations like the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, Financial Planning Standards Council, World Animal Protection Canada, and George Brown College. 

 

Stefanie is passionate about patient empowerment, and providing individuals in North America – and globally – with the tools, and information they need to live their best lives.

MIKE B. FITERMAN

Chairman of Liberty Diversified International 

As Chairman, Mike is the third generation to lead Liberty Diversified International, one of Minnesota’s largest privately held companies. Mike serves the broader business community of the Twin Cities as a member of the University of Minnesota Foundation Board of Trustees, serving as chair from 2014 to 2016.

 

He has served on the Minnesota Vikings Children Fund Board of Directors for the past seven years. Mike is a 30-year member of the Twin Cities Chapter of the World President’s Organizations (YPO/WPO). He has been closely involved with the Minnesota Business Partnership and served on its Fiscal Policy and Health Policy Committees. Mike earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota.

CATHY BLOCH

Conference Coordinator, INDEAL

Cathy is from the Toronto area. She has 28 years’ experience in corporate event planning with INDEAL and previous companies. Cathy’s
passion for skiing provided her
with the opportunity to be a part of the management team at the local
ski resort to give back to the community by providing unique
and memorable experiences. Leadership, organization, and providing a positive experience is always forefront for Cathy.

 

INDEAL Cares is a very personal vision as the cause honors her daughter Shannon’s legacy of sharing a talent by providing health care and a healthy environment for those close and abroad.

Program Integration Associate, INDEAL

Trevor brings a fresh perspective to the industry. Being a second generation within INDEAL he creates connections with the younger generation involved in the commercial interiors industry.

 

Trevor was born and raised in the Toronto area. With a degree from Laurentian University in Psychology he brings unique social and interactive skills to the table. He has a great passion for giving back to those who need help. By supporting INDEAL Cares, he wants to make sure those who need support will have access to all the right resources.

KEVIN BUDELMANN

President,
People Design

Kevin Budelmann is interested in strategic design for business, education, healthcare, and society. Kevin is president and co-founder of Peopledesign, a strategy and
human-centered design firm based in Michigan. Besides serving as an advisor to clients, Kevin is an adjunct professor at Northwestern University and is the former global president of IxDA, the Interaction Design Association. He holds degrees from Carnegie Mellon University and the IIT Institute of Design. Kevin's book, "Brand Identity Essentials," is available in six languages and a second edition.

Dave is an experienced senior executive and visionary with over 30 years of experience, with the majority of those years being in the commercial interiors industry. Dave has held various executive roles throughout his career and is currently President and CEO of INDEAL Inc.

 

Dave grew up and resides in the Toronto (Canada) area and is a graduate from the University of Waterloo with a degree in Economics. Dave has a passion for continuous improvement of the commercial furniture industry, and travels across North America to ensure he is well versed on trends and industry needs.

Dave founded INDEAL Cares because he is committed to giving back and making the world a better place.

MARK RHOADES

President, Contract Furniture – Fellowes Brands

Mark is a seasoned leader with over 30 years of experience, primarily focused on the Commercial Furnishing and Consumer Goods Industries.  Mark is currently President, Contract Furniture – Fellowes Brands.  His past positions included President of ESI, CEO at Highmark, President of Fluidmaster and President at SitOnIt.

 

Mark is also a partner in CFS Group Consulting and serves on various boards throughout the country. 

Mark was raised in St.Louis, and currently splits his time between Holland, MI and Scottsdale, AZ.  Mark has a degree in Marketing from the University of Missouri.  Mark’s business interests include turnarounds, rapid growth companies and Mergers & Acquisitions work.   

 

Mark joined INDEAL Cares because he believes to whom much is given, much is expected.

ROB KIRKBRIDE

Editor-In-Chief, Bellow Press

Rob Kirkbride is editor-in-chief at Bellow Press, where he manages the editorial direction for Business of Furniture and Workplaces magazines (www.bellow.press). Business of Furniture is the weekly go-to source for news about the contract interiors industry while Workplaces takes a much broader look at how work is changing and the forces that are driving that change.

 

He began his career in the daily newspaper industry, working at the Ann Arbor News and Grand Rapids Press covering a variety of beats, including government, police and business. Rob has a bachelor's degree in journalism with an emphasis in economics from Michigan State University.

 

When not writing, Rob is an avid record collector with more than 3,000 titles in his vinyl collection. He is also a voracious reader and, unfortunately, a long-suffering Detroit Lions fan.

DAVE GATHERUM

Dave is a seasoned veteran with vast experience at both dealer and buying group levels of the contract furniture industry.  Dave’s current role is as COO of INDEAL.  He is committed to helping the INDEAL team, dealers and suppliers grow together.

 

Dave has held board positions in hospitals, children’s treatment centers as well as other community organizations.  He is extremely excited about Ideal Cares and the people it will help globally.

 

Dave is a married father of two and splits his time between Ottawa, Ontario, and the Tampa area, Florida.

RICH VAUGHAN

Richard D. Vaughn has over 30 years of experience working exclusively within the contract office furniture industry. Throughout his career, Rich has honed his business and legal skills by effectively solving complex business and legal issues specifically at the dealership level with dealer principals. Rich has focused his expertise on advising dealer principals on exit strategy and transfer of business ownership, combined with specificaction focused recommendations. 

 

Rich’s philosophy is that achieving a successful outcome for each client – the dealer owner – starts with having a thorough understanding of the principal’s business and their human concerns.

CAROL KEOGH

Former President & CEO (retired), ESI Ergonomic Solutions

Carol was CEO of ESI Ergonomic Solutions for 18 years before a strategic sale to Fellowes at the end of 2017.  During her time with the company, Carol built and managed a sales channel of 125 representatives that produced record revenues calling on 1600 dealers in North America. ESI remains an industry leader in ergonomic work tools that enhance productivity and wellness.


Carol was previously a Board Director of the Business Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association (BIFMA) for eight years. She has served on the Board of Directors of Telluride Science Research Center (TSRC) since January 2019.

 

Carol is looking forward to her future involvement with INDEAL Cares to give back and to reconnect with many of her friends in the office furniture industry.  Carol is an outdoor enthusiast and a proud mother of two daughters.  She and her husband John split their time between Paradise Valley, AZ and Telluride, CO.

MIKE BLESSINGER

Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Indiana Furniture

Mike is a 30 year commercial furniture veteran whose leadership has always been guided by his desire to serve his customers, sales teams, employees and stakeholders of the businesses in which he has worked.

 

As a service leader, he has held positions with manufactures in the Jasper, Indiana area as well as a stint as the General Manager for Carolina Business Interiors Raleigh offices.
He has been involved with INDEAL as a supplier partner since its inception and believes wholeheartedly in the vision of INDEAL Cares.

CASEY JOURNIGAN

President and Co-owner,
Arcadia

A Southern California native, Casey has been an advocate of worthy causes for over three decades, serving on a number of boards including Orangewood Children’s Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to eliminate child abuse and neglect in Orange County. He also continues to be an active sponsor for Biola University’s MBA mentorship program, providing valuable business advice and life-skills to graduating classes.

 

Earning his Business Administration degree at USC, Casey began his career in the contract furniture industry soon after graduation, joining his father as an independent manufacturer’s representative. Five years later, they purchased a small manufacturing company which was renamed Arcadia after the city in which he grew up. Starting as a 4-man operation in 1979, the company has grown to over 350 employees and has enjoyed continued success through its expansion into new product categories as well as market sectors, in addition to the launch of a secondary brand, Encore.

 

Today, the company strives to be an actively engaged member of the community, not only with the local surroundings in which it operates, but also on a nationwide level to help support causes for the greater good.
