Hot Chocolate

Healthy Hot Chocolate may seem like an oxymoron, but in fact when you use raw cacao powder instead of cocoa powder, you’re adding nutrients to your diet: potassium, magnesium and iron. Maca root gives you a boost of energy and hemp seeds are a complete plant-based protein. So drink up!

Servings: 2


3 cups non-dairy milk (coconut, almond, cashew)

2-3 tablespoons raw cacao powder

1 tablespoon maca root powder

2 tsp hemp seeds

2 tablespoon maple syrup or to taste

2 tsp coconut oil

½ teaspoon cinnamon

pinch of sea salt

How To
  1. In a small saucepan, add all the ingredients and heat.

  2. Carefully pour the mixture into a blender, and mix until smooth.

  3. If too thick, add more non-dairy milk.

  4. Serve.
