What’s GORP you ask? Stands for “Good ol’ raisins and peanuts” and describes a trail mix: a mixture of nuts, seeds, dried fruits and sometimes a with little extra fun added too. This delicious and nutritious on-the-go snack is great for camping, hiking the trails, road trips and great little pick-me-up for when you’re out and about.

Nuts & Seeds
Nuts and seeds are low in carbs and pack a serious nutritional punch including protein. They also contain antioxidants. Pick your nuts and seeds wisely, support your health by buying raw, then toasting and salting them yourself rather than consuming unhealthy oils found in pre-roasted nuts and seeds.
Dried fruit contains fibre, vitamins and minerals. For maximum health benefits, look for dried fruit that isn’t coated in sugar and is ideally unsulphured.
Adding a little fun into the mix is always a treat. How about adding some dark chocolate, popcorn, pretzels or your favourite sweet to the mix?
Let's Make GORP
Mix together the following ingredients and store in an air-tight container.
1 1/2 cups raw nuts (pick your favs: almonds, pecans, cashews, walnuts, macadamia, etc)
1 cup raw seeds (sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, hemp seeds, sesame seeds, etc)
1 cup dried fruit (raisins, cranberries, blueberries, apricots, apples, etc)
1/2 cup to 1 cup fun stuff (chopped dark chocolate, popcorn, pretzels, your favourite sweet treat)
